Acts 1:8
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
That sounds great, but what really does power even mean? Did you know there are four different meanings for the word power?
In Ephesians chapter one there are four different Strong’s Concordance references concerning the word ‘power’. Although their definitions are close, they have distinct concepts, with completely different meaning.
Ephesians 1:19-21 And what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead & seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality & power & might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
